The NSU Bands were part of a consortium to commission James Syler to write a concerto for saxophone and Wind Symphony. The NSU Wind Symphony will be doing our premiere of this concerto, entitled Birds of Paradise on April 18, 2024 in Magale Recital Hall on the campus of Northwestern State University.
